Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Hard Core Remodeling but Were Afraid to Ask Part 8.5!

Yeah, the last post was inadequate.
Fortunately, the floors weren't done, so we get another crack at it!
Prepare to prepare a slurry with fury as we present
Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Hard Core Remodeling but Were Afraid to Ask!
Grab yourself a 5 gallon bucket and floor leveling compound.
Pour enough of the dry mix into the bucket to fill it 1/3 of the way.
STREAM, the mist water into the bucket quickly to settle the dust.
Continue to high powered stream water in.
Once it's now two thirds full, relocate to the floor you're going to work on.
See the mixer attached to my drill?
Pretend you're making the world's most disgusting, gritty cake.
Start on low...
...and work up to medium, getting all the junk off the bottom of the bucket.
You should have a nicely mixed slurry after about 2 minutes.
Pour the crap on the floor.

You'll notice it's starting to fill in already.
To make sure you get it all the way into the corners, draw the squeegee at a 45 degree angle
slowly in a straight line, like mowing the lawn.
You don't need to put any pressure on it.
 Is this easy?
 I'll give you a hint.
The Redheaded Rehabber did the rest of the room.
First time.
Yep.
Because the secret to doing a project for the first time is to just do it.
Don't be afraid.
Just jump in, get dirty, and try it out.
Then you can sit back and say,
"Yeah, I totally did that. Myself. I'm good."
And if you don't get it right...do it over.

YES. You are spot on with that advice at the end. I am loving this series - it's fun to see all the nitty gritty!
