Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Hard Core Remodeling but Were Afraid to Ask Part 17!

Hi there, it's the middle aged carpentry apprentice with
your final drywall tute.
Ready to splash up some color?
Then let's finish our canvas with
Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Hard Core Remodeling but Were Afraid to Ask!
 ...before the inspectors arrive!
First, we'll need some joint compound.
Afterwards, we'll need some joint pain killers.
This stuff is a little like thick buttercream.
 You'll need a scraper.
 And you'll need a trough.
Just take it away from your teenager and empty out the chips.
We'll get a little of the compound in the trough.
Work it back and forth gently with the scraper to remove any air bubbles...
...and spread it on any seams and edges.
Just keep buttering, pressing the compound into dimples and imprefections.
Spread the outer edges of the stuff level with the wallboard.

See how nice and smooth that is?

As for those corners with the beading...
 ...same thing.

Glop a little extra in the screw indentations and bring them level too.
Those are my little paws in there now doing the mudding.

 Houston, we have mud.
Let that sit for a few hours, then reapply if necessary.
 Those little ridges?
Relax.
We'll handle those before we prime.

Are you ready to turn this ugly adobe colored place all seaglass blue?
Me too.
And that's going to start next week!
