Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Hard Core Remodeling but Were Afraid to Ask Part 14!

You've destroyed it!
Hauled it!
Framed it!
 Now, let's wall it!
 It's time for
Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Hard Core Remodeling but Were Afraid to Ask!
And we need someplace to hang some art in this place.
First, measure the space you need to wallboard and cut the piece.
Are there any outlets?
That's what we're doing here.
Measure to the center from top to bottom, and side to side
Measure the dimensions of the outlet without the switch plate cover.

 Mark...
...and...
 ...cut.
 Now, let's open some insulation.

 Roll it out.
Insulation has a tough paper layer that's there for a reason.
 Measure it against the space...
...and cut with a sharp blade to fit.
If this was a longer space, we'd staple the paper to a stud to hold it in place.
Take the piece you cut, mark the length on your cutting surface,
and roll the insulation out.
Using your carpenter's square, simply cut the insulation to fit.

Press it into place. Don't stuff or compact it.
Put the sheet of drywall up over it...
...and screw it into the studs!
DONE!
Easier than you thought?
Seriously, this is simple stuff.
Before you know it, you'll have a whole room done!
Tomorrow, let's turn a corner, shall we?
