Going Shopping?

Think the world can run without you?
Be the head of a blogging team and have a flare up of Acsites.
There are totes and projects everywhere, but I was beached, therefore...
I keep saying this, but we're going to get back on schedule.
Seriously.
Stop laughing.
Fine, the least you could do is roll me over and find some reruns of Law & Order.

What's Blooming?

Our storms have passed, leaving us with a little clean up and a few surprises.

 Happy Sunday.

Going Shopping

If this rain lets up over the weekend, there's only ONE place I'd like to shop:
The storage pod behind the house.
My china, Christmas dishes, good crystal...
our creme brulee torch...
all in the abyss for two years.
I want in.
Headed for THE POD. BRB.
If not back, avenge death.

Ghouls, Ghosts, and Glitz II

Take an innocent looking tablescape. A simple buffet.
 Remove the seaside goodness.
Let's lay the foundation to serve up some skulls.
Each display at Chateau Inferno this year will be themed, and we aren't skimping on the glitter!

This weekend, I have Minion commitments to knock out some new goodies to blend with the old.
Halloween is about to sparkle.

Ghouls, Ghosts, and Glitz

So, the Dollar Tree has these little babies in stock and priced for wanton crazed crafts.
So what do you feel like doing to them?
Well here was our first impulse...hellooooooooo, Rustoleum!
Nothing like a shiny blank black canvas, eh?
Cut out the bottom with a serrated knife, making an opening large enough for a light source.
No candles, guys.
I went with Dollar Tree tap lights.
 How's that for bright?
Now you'll need flat backed marbles, gems, or any translucent embellishment.
Drill or poke a whole buncha holes in the foam pumpkin.
Hot glue a gem over each hole.
You see where this is going, don't you?
Poke and glue to fill any gaps.
Turn on your light and inspect in a dark hallway.
I also got a glittery vine to poke near the stem.
Now, let's clean up those glue webs and get project number 2 under way!

What the &;^%$#@ Are You Wearing Wednesday!?!?

My energy level is still at a critical low.
To the point that spray painting required a nap to recover, and the next crafting steps were never accomplished.
Is this acceptable???
Oh. Hell. No.
So what's a laid up crafter to do?
Call in the Helper Fairies!
They arrived on schedule, wings all aflutter.
First they checked out the patio garden.
Then they milled about aimlessly, bumping into each other.
There was an assisted adjustment or five.
But soon they were inspired and ready to catch me up on my work!

Now all I have to do is get them in the house!

So...whatcha wearin'?

Your Assignment This Morning

Go to the Dollar Tree. Buy their carvable pumpkins.
Get a couple of large skulls too. Find your knitting needles. Warm up the hot glue. Raid the craft stash.
I'll see you back here this afternoon for Project Number 1.
